Hopes of ending on a good note denied by Chipola!

The Panhandle Conference Champions proved to be too much for the wounded Pirates as Chipola (36-16) topped Pensacola (20-26) 7-5 on Friday. Freshman, Grant Bush received the loss for the Pirates on the mound as he allowed 4 hits and 2 earned runs in 2/3 inning relief. The Pirates were led offensively by freshman, Taylor Eads who was 2-4, 2B, HR, RBI. Freshman, Andy Chacon added a 2-5, 2B, RBI performance of his own.

 Chipola (37-16) didn’t take their foot off the gas in game two on Saturday as they defeated Pensacola (20-27) 9-0 in seven innings. Starting pitcher and University of Central Florida signee, Danny Davis took the loss for the Pirates after 2 2/3 innings of work. The Pirates were led offensively by freshman, Brett Casteel who had a 2-3 day at the plate. With the loss the Pirates end their season with a 20-27 record.
